Real Estate Focus: Gated & Golf Properties (Residential and Land)
I specialize in gated and golf properties in the North and Northwest parts of Tucson: The Foothills, Oro Valley, Rancho Vistoso and Dove Mountain. Oro Valley where I live is a luxury resort-lifestyle community in northwest Tucson known as “the Scottsdale of Tucson.” My husband Stu and I reside in Stone Canyon, a private Phil Mickelson guard-gated golf community within the Rancho Vistoso development of Oro Valley (we’ve been Club Members since 2000).
My business background has proven a powerful asset for me in real estate: from my 17-year career as a Silicon Valley executive in hi-tech sales and business development to my role as a labor-relations negotiator in California for 5 years and initially as an educator in New York. While serving on the Board of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) in California, I co-founded the now worldwide Storage Networking World industry conference for computer professionals concerned with advancing storage and information technology.
Upon retiring to Arizona in 2000, I “flunked” retirement and became a REALTOR® in 2005. Business is all about focus while real estate is about location, so my skills in research, negotiations, and creative thinking provided a powerful foundation for developing successful real estate transactions around my “don’t take no for an answer” style coupled with my win-win philosophy. As a result, you’ll find that I thoroughly enjoy working in reals estate and that my unique qualifications will enable you to experience the acquisition or marketing of your special property in the most efficient, enjoyable and professional manner possible.
Serving my community and supporting my profession while working and learning is very rewarding for me. On a personal level, I am involved with the Stone Canyon Community Foundation which funds local Tucson charities focused on helping youth and I have actively led annual fundraisers for Youth On Their Own which helps homeless Tucson youth remain in school and graduate. I also serve as a Director of the Long Realty Cares Foundation which awards funds donated by my fellow Long Realty REALTORs® to various Tucson charities.
On a professional level, I’ve served two terms on the Board of the Tucson Association of REALTORS® (TAR) and on many different TAR committees since 2006, including being a long-standing and current member of the Technology Committee. I am also a Member of the prestigious AREA organization which is an invitation-only national group comprised of around 125 top real estate professionals who are or have been professionally active at the local, state and/or national REALTOR® association level on behalf of our profession.
